I get too much bass out of the Dual Recto on clean.

Try screwing around with the treble knob. The more treble you dial in, the less bass is present. Or, that's the way it is for my studio preamp, I'm assuming it's the same for most other Mesas. Although it's kind of a pain in the *** to do it, you could also bring your head to a store and plug...

Mesa Mark III (w/IIC+ Mod) Clip - Pull Me Under

Well, if your Triaxis sounds like BOSS pedals, then you can just use your wonderland studio and EQ it to sound better for your big name clients. Cleans sounded good, distortion was weak, although it might have been the way it was recorded or whatever.

Guitar volume knob UP = SQUEEL!!! HELP!!

Most likely it isn't a crappy pickup or anything, my friend has a Schecter C-1 Classic, and it has the Duncan JB/59 combo. +1 on checking the electronics stuff checked out. But, also do some troubleshooting with cables and tubes.

Away from Boogie - Mark Series

If you do want a Marshall sounding amp, or any amp that differs from the typical Boogie vibe and sound, you might want to just not buy a Boogie. Maybe look on eBay for an old JCM 800, or check out the new Marshall JVM. Although the Stiletto series was made to appeal to the Marshall crowd, it...

50/50 + studio pre , not what I thought (EDIT)

This is what I do anyway, the sound is much bigger and natural sounding. But, I always use the recording out, when I use the main outs in the preamp, there is a terrible fizz that I can't get rid of, and it sounds permanently scooped. I'm quite happy with my recording-out-tone, but I'm just...

Out of curiousity, are you using the main or recording outs?

    Roadster Soloing?

Try a OD pedal for leads to push it a bit more for leads, or you could also get a Studio Preamp or Quad or something, and hook it up to the Roadster for leads.

    Roadster video test

Can you make some more clips with the amp? I hope you don't take any offense, but IMO it doesn't show what the amp can do, a lot of it was just soloing. Just keep it simple, show how it sounds with articulation, sensitivity to picking, how well the lead channels pick up soloing on the bigger...

    Road King vs. Diezel

Honestly, I haven't heard of Mark IIC+s going for $5000, anywhere. I'd say getting a IIC+ for less than a new Mark IV is a pretty **** good deal, the last time I checked they were going for a couple hundred more than brand new Mark IVs on ebay.

    Road King vs. Diezel

Ok, well I guess so me too. But generally, people who have an IQ higher than that of a brick don't spend 2-3 grand more, unless they are obscenely rich.

    Road King vs. Diezel

Are you serious? No they don't. Their voicings are completely different. Just like how Rectifiers have a unique sound, Uberschalls and Herberts do too. It's like saying Recto's are trying to be like JCM 800s. They are completely different amps with completely different tonal qualities...

    RKII Cleans

 That thread was started by him. Honestly, if you WANT the Roadster but just want the Road King cleans (ie, different cab and different speakers), just get the **** Roadster head and order a custom made Buzzbomb 2x12 cab from EarCandy cabs. http://www.earcandycabs.com/buzzbomb.htm When...

    Rectifier with EL34 + Maxon OD-808 = god

Good to hear you're happy with your tone. I believe that was that same pedal the guy from the concert said KSE were using with their Roadsters, too.

Mesa with a good clean channel - MarkIV or Roadster?

If you really hate spongyness and just want a tight and articulate sound, the Mark IV is probably a better choice. BUT, that being said, I noticed you said you liked Zorran's tone, which I find a little spongier than your average Mark IV sound that most people post when they record. His tone (to...

Mesa with a good clean channel - MarkIV or Roadster?

No, unfortunately I will not have enough money for a Roadster for a while, especially since I have decided to save up for a computer before an amp. However, I know that MontyJay/4nkam (I'm not sure which name he uses/used in this board) who has a Studio, Quad, I believe a Tremoverb or...

Mesa with a good clean channel - MarkIV or Roadster?

Do what I'm going to be doing. I have a Mesa Studio Preamp (get a Quad or something if you want more versitility; although I haven't played a Quad before, I hear the Studio still beats it in terms of tone though) off eBay for like $200 or however much it's going for now. I got mine for...

    Balanced tubes

So what is all this about Mesa claiming that it's blasphemy and the earth's going to abruptly stop spinning and we'll all be flung into space to use other tubes besides their own because their tubes are specially biased or something like that?
