help running two dual recs in stereo

Try this: Guitar into Zakk OD, then into amp #1 input. Dial your tones using amp #1. This will be your "master amp." Connect the FX send of amp #1 to the input of your CH1 chorus. Connect the stereo outs of the CH1 to the stereo ins of the DD6. To make it easy, connect the CH1 output A to...

Help to locate problem on amp

If it were a tube problem, it would be either a rectifier tube, or one of the 2 outer power tubes. I can't recall which, but either the left-most or right-most power tube is the only one functioning in 5W mode. This should be an easy fix, hopefully. However, I currently have one of these in my...

new boogie prices - did they go up yet?

Yes, it is usually July. But, according to my rep, they are going up. It's either August 1st or September 1st. I believe it is September, though. The RKII is going up a bunch from what I hear.

Sounds like the footswitch cable is messed up. Is it detachable?

    QUESTION (Please Help if possible)

I've seen behavior like this result from bad rectifier tubes. Try swapping them one at a time.

Can a Blown Tube Injure the Head?

Check it out. Mesa gets their tubes from Ruby Tubes. Yup, that's right, stock Mesa amps come with Ruby Tubes.... So, if you're sold on Ruby, just buy some Mesa tubes (already within Mesa's tolerance) and it'll be plug and play. From personal experience (which will vary on this board), buy the...

    Total Newb Question

Just make sure you are careful of the impedance. A Boogie 4x12, if I remember correctly, is 4 ohms per side in stereo. There is no safe way to run a Boogie head into 2 separate 4 ohm jacks that I know of. If the cabs were 8 ohm stereo, you would be safe. Just take the 4 ohm outs on your head...

    Mesa ballpark ship time?

I ordered it in February 2006, but for whatever reason the order didn't get entered at Mesa until March. It finally showed up in July or early August... Some of the custom options were wrong, so back it went.... They fixed it up pretty quickly though.

    Mesa ballpark ship time?

The stock answer from the Mesa reps is an 8 week turnaround time. This is usually nowhere near accurate. It's usually more like 12 weeks or more. It took me nearly 6 months to get my custom Roadster. Keep in mind that your dealer, GC or otherwise, is at the mercy of the Mesa reps when it comes...

Mesa Roadster - what's the word?

Which Soldano do you have? I have a Soldano Decatone head and a Roadster head. Both are awesome. I'll never sell my Soldano, ever. I play in a metal band and with the other guitarist's 2 Ch Dual and my Soldano, the sound is huge. I love my Roadster, but the Soldano totally destroys it in all...

So I went to GC yesterday to buy a Roadster....

Dealers are not allowed to ship to customers if there are other dealers in the customer's area. Doing so is a violation of the dealer agreement and can cause the dealer to lose the line. With permission from the proper Boogie regional sales manager, exceptions can be made, but it is rare to get...

    F-50 ?????

Well, since the cat's out of the bag on the Express a day early, I guess I can share some other tidbits... The LSC will now be switchable all the way down to 10W, supposedly class A. The 50W and 100W AB settings are there as well. They were originally going to do the 5W thing as on the...

    Amp selling advice

Platy, Hey bro, your posts are usually pretty good, but this one rubs me the wrong way. Maybe it's because I am a dealer and I have to deal with this kind of stuff everyday. This post is not meant to offend you, but to explain the logic dealers use and get us all thinking. Check it out. As...

    Dicided on Mesa but...

The Rectoverb is awesome but does the Recto thing. Go for it if that's the tone you want. I play a Roadster and a Soldano Decatone. I like the Recto sound quite a bit and contrary to what others say, it's great for fast metal and can be dialed in to sound pretty tight. Just takes some effort...

    Lonestar with a Boogie Logo?

Yeah, there's a certain amount of flexibility when special ordering a Boogie. You can pick logos, jewel lights, handles, stuff like that. Depending on the dress, you can also mix and match the covering, front panel, corners, and grille. Very cool. Good luck with getting your problems sorted...

    2007 Amps

I highly doubt the Roadster will see any major updates. The replacement for the F series will be unveiled (very cool) as well as a few tweaks to the LSC. Maybe more....

Answer to Why Rectifier has different tone w/Loop On

No! You want to run the slave out to the FX in, FX out to the power amp in, power amp out to the speaker. DO NOT run a signal out of the power amp into the FX unit unless you want to destroy some gear. FX loops are always a hassle, but once you get everything dialed (so many different levels...

    NAMM Predictions???

Perhaps a working proto of the Titan? Last year, it was just a mock up, which really bummed me out because it looked so crushing. The replacement for the F-series will be unveiled. I really want to give y'all a hint, but I probably shouldn't.... Let's just say they will be very cool and not...

    Question about rectification?

There will be people on here recommending that you try the JJ GZ34 rectifier tube from eurotubes.com The word of mouth around here is quite positive, so you might consider trying them, although I haven't myself.
