Hi Gang
Newbie here - much appreciating the valuable info on this site.
Is there a way of channel switching two amps with just one footswich. I heard a three piece band in a local pub last night - the guitarist had a combo at the far left and far right on the stage and the stereo effect was amazing. But if I decide to invest in another MkV I'd have to be able to change channels on both amps simultaneously - with one press of a footswitch. Grafting one footswitch din cable into another, in parallel is no problem - but would it work?
Cheers
Neil

I wouldn't even try with the factory footswitch, those circuits should be isolated. Something like an amp gizmo would work, though, using independent relays for each amp. The easiest way to do it would be to use only one preamp, then send the second channel of your stereo effects into the loop return of the second amp.

Brilliant idea. Thanks a bunch. I've got an old Marshall 100w combo that should do the trick. I'll give it a go.
Cheers again.

It turn out that the old Marshall amp that's been in my attic for fifteen years is a 1978 4140 'Crossover' Country and Jazz amp - the cleanest apparently that Marshall ever made - perfect. It's way brighter than the MkV so I had to wind down the treble to almost nothing but I now have a fantastic stereo sound.
Cheers guys.
