I just ordered another JP2C Limited Edition and starting thinking about it and wondered if now that there is a 2C+ reissue, will they kill the JP2C? I hope not as I think it’s the best version personally. I was curious what you guys all think? Does Gibson care about continuing with artist? Or did they reissue the other so they could can the signature model and save some money.

I bet they'll keep the JP2C, it really is way different than the reissue. Gibson itself has several signature guitars, no reason it'll be different with Mesa

I would wager sales will tell. Sure they are going to sell a lot of the IIC+ reissues at the beginning, but I honestly think that will taper off, as for most people who play live the JP-2C is a far better option.
