I prefer single pedals! They sound better for the most part unless you are talking super high end multi-effects units like some of the stuff from TC Electronics. Even then I prefer some good analog effects...call me old fashioned!

I just dropped the dough on a Ibanez Flying Pan reissue. I can't wait to get it! Does anyone on here have either a new or vintage one? I see vintage units going for $1000 + on ebay. I hear these pedals are awesome! With only 777 units being reissued you had better get one quick if interested!

I agree completely. I would rather spend a few extra bucks on the real deal which to me is the HBE Powerscreamer w/ Fatboost. My days of searching for the perfect overdrive/distortion are over.

I think in general that Boss effects suck. That's just my opinion though...

I'm using JJ KT77's in my Stiletto Ace. It gave it more low end. The highs and mids also seem to be more defined.

I'd take that thing back where you bought it and demand either a new one or a refund. I'd probably get a new one, the problem you have seems like a fluke. I've never had any trouble with mine and I've never seen anyone on here with the same issue There's nothing worse that getting new gear...

That's a nice setup you have but it'll be hard to cop Metallica type tones with it. You can kinda get close with your current set-up but if you really want that type of tone I'd go with a Gibson style guitar into a Stiletto Ace.
