I 'd say the Triaxis would be the best choice because of it's versatility. I have no problem getting a marshall sound out of it. I know it's a bit more expensive, but it's well worth it. You can never get mesa sound out of a Jmp-1. JMP-1 - if you're only into marshall sound Triaxis - if you...

I know he used and still use MarkIIC+ live, but only for lead sounds. Whether he record with it for some lead parts on I&W, I dont know. On Awake he did. And where did I say the triaxis can sound like the MarkIIC+? I never did... No other Mark series amp can do that either.

Dude, you take this way to serious, it wasn't ment as insulting you in any way. Just found it a bit funny what you said cause I've always been under the impression that JP used Tri-Axis - 2:90 on the I&W album. I know for sure he used triaxis & 2:90 live on the Images and Words world tour though.

Sorry, but this made me laugh. :D Petrucci used the Triaxis and 2:90 for that album. He said so himself on his website a couple years ago. You can also listen to the first Liquid Tension Experiment album. He use the same setup there. Beautifull tone.

Yeh, sorry about that.. Guitar style is Rock, Hard Rock and Metal. My biggest influence is John Petrucci from Dream Theater. If i can get anyway near his tone i'd be a happy camper. :mrgreen:
