Just got these evil twins in today. Here is the amplifier part of the new rig. MIDI hopefully to come soon, and a revised pedalboard. The heads will be going into
my live-in head case, but for now, they are just sitting on the cabs. Cabs are loaded with V30/C90's in an "x" pattern

Thanks man, I really like the blend of these speakers. I have not really tried a cab with just C90's in it, other than the time I ran a 4x12 with v30's with a 2x12 with c90's in unison. It was that performance that gave me the idea to do x patterns. It seems that whatever the v30 doesn't have sound-wise, the c90 is there to bring it in. Compared to my old Mesa cabs with just V30's, the distorted sound is a little fuller, and has much less of the high end "spikyness" that V30's can sometimes have if the treble and presence knobs go unchecked. The cleans sound great too. Very rich and deep. Add a little 'verb or delay and it's bliss.

Yeah, me too. It's the last piece that I get, together with the Roland.
Now it is really heavy, not only speaking of it's tone (thanks to your help!)
After a lot of time maybe I've found a good patch combination that it's really close to James' late '90s tone.
I could even do the grand slam and take the mesa studio preamp that I have on my secodn rig, but
I cannot modify it to a custom parametric eq. I think it isn't worth at all. I like how it sounds and maybe I have to modify the triaxis before the studio preamp to get his exact tone.
Actually no one knows his exact mod, so I think that this setup is came to it's full shining
I hope to post some clips someday...
I have to take an isp decimator instead that rocktron. If someone wants to sell is welcome. I need the stereo version

A three band presonus parametric EQ might work well for your rig. get two of them, and put them as the first piece out from both the triaxis' live out's into the power amp and amp switcher. you can get three frequencies of the old mesa eq for channel out. (the live out A/B)

I thought to get a pair of TC Electronic 1128 parametric eq but they are really expensive... I have to get that isp decimator before

@ Screamindaisy, I dig those 1x12s Nice and clean, If i have to get rid of my 4x12 someday i could see my self getting a pair of those, i havent dont much research but are those what they refer to the Thele's? Do they come in different configs, like maybe a C90s and V30s?
