I wont be able to get out and try a mini until summer but want to have all options covered if/when I pull the trigger on one.

What would be the best option for a cab(s)
a) 2x12 horizontal
b) 2 1x12s (both straight)
c) 2 1x12s (1 straight and 1 slanted)

I dont gig and would just be using it to play on my own.

I'd appreciate any replies on this:

I am currently trying to decide between a vertical or horizontal Recto cab. But.....if the
1x12 mini cabs are that good I would be happy to have that option as well.

I have some very limited experience playing a Mini Rec through the new Mini Rec 112 slant cab while auditioning the amp, but I felt it sounded better through the 212 Recto cab.

Based on my limited experience, I don't think the new Mini Recto 112 slant cab offers the bass response or "umph" that the 212 cab offers.

I am not saying the new Mini Recto 112 cab sounded bad....just not as good as the 212 Recto that I ended up buying along with my new Mini Recto head. I purchased the 212 Horizontal Rectifier Cab, but am sure the Vertical 212 Cab would sound great as well with this amp.

The new 112 Mini Recto Cab(s) might work well for you as well, but don't expect the same amount of bass response and overall fullness from the 112's compared to the 212's.

I realize that my post is probably not that helpful.....try them all out in person if possible and judge for yourself!
