Day 19:

For the first time I have gotten an actual date that the shipment from Boogie will arrive at Sweetwater this Saturday (read:tomorrow!!!) so they tell me that they should be able to turn it right around and ship it out to me that same day.

I'm not sure if this news makes me feel better or if it gives me even more anxiety like a kid looking at presents under a Christmas tree knowing it's still days before I get to open any of them.

Thanks to all my friends here for keeping me off the ledge.

Haha that's great ryjan, I was beginning to worry - you hadn't posted about it for a couple of days

I hope mine is part of that same batch.

I can't wait to compare notes with you guys. It's going to be very difficult to have to repack mine after I test it out and then have to wait until Christmas. Any advice on getting the wife to relent on that one?

When I spoke with them yesterday they told me they were getting enough in to cover all existing orders plus a few extra so it's a good bet yours will be in there too.
As far as getting your wife play ball I'd just be honest with her. Tell her that while you really really appreciate her getting the amp for you and you understand she means for it to be a Christmas present, keeping it wrapped up under the tree after you know what it is and could be playing it is torture.

Awesome news, thanks ryjan.

My wife is actually extremely sweet; I'm kind of kidding about the whole thing - I'm sure she'll let me keep playing it once she hears it and sees the look on my face when playing it. She knows how long I've wanted a Mark. :)

Wow, in retrospect, that is kind of creepy. I wonder if this was tacked to a wall at Mesa during development...

I guess this really shows that Mesa cares what we want. I also believe that they waited until they had done a few EL84 amps before tackling the flagship so they could really nail it.

At this point I chuckle when I go to gigs or rehearsals where I see other guys lugging full-size heads and I have two tiny monsters with me...

Give me a Mini head, 2x12 cab, and an XLR to PA set up any day of the week now.

Oh geeze..I am sooo bad. I drag my Mark V and 2 2X12 verts to jobs..cause dars toanz in dem dar cabz and I gota let dem out. They might get clogged up, come out in the wrong order R sumpin. Our drummer has an old Boogie at his house I use...when we rehearse...like never. Working band and in the 5+ years we have been together we have rehearsed maybe 8 times. We started out as the house Sunday Night Jam band. Just hired musicians and then we started filling in when bands would cancel and it turned into working 60+ nights a year, make a couple of pennies that way. Rehearsals s*ck.. no profit in it...LOL.

Edited:
All's good. Sweetwater has gone above and beyond, bent over backwards, and made everything right in regards to my order. Good enough to say that they have earned my future business and I'll do my best to sing their praises to anyone who is looking for an outfit that still values customer service above making a buck.

Sorry to hear that man - usually Sweetwater service is top notch, hope you get your amp soon.
Please read my edited post above. I was very upset when I received an email that said my delivery was being delayed for the 4th time but my sales rep got involved and made everything right.

I've always had great service from Sweetwater as well. Oh well. All's well that ends well and my sales rep there made sure all will certainly end well. Very impressed actually.
Anyhow, my mini will be in my whining inpatient hands next Wednesday.

Sorry to read about your troubles man! But trust me when you do get you will be in love. Swetwater has always been top notch with me as well!

It is here.
I had it delivered to my work and now I have to stare at it for another 3.5 hours until I can get home.
She sure is purty. 8)

Awesome! Mine is expected for delivery Saturday...

Can't wait to hear your thoughts.
