    50/50 Deep Mod

I know this thread is old, but did you add a 6.3V lamp to your amp instead of the neon lamp? Can you show me how you connected this to the circuit? Thanks

Newbie Mesa Mark iib owner foot switch question

It's not momentary. You could use a DPDT switch to make the Rhythm/Lead footswitch. The switch just shorts the tip to ground.

I think I'm going to trade my Loaded markII B for a IV

Didn't do it. Craigslist flakey traders seem to be the norm these days. I think I'll just keep this one. If I want a IV I'll buy one eventually.

I think I'm going to trade my Loaded markII B for a IV

The II A and B's in the US tend to sell on ebay for $500-$800. Lots of people list them for more and keep relisting them. The Mark IV's pull in $1000-1300 sometimes more.

    Mark III Variables?

Yep. I have a Mark II B that is Simulclass. Mark III's were available in 60W, 100/60W, Simulclass, and Colisseum.

I think I'm going to trade my Loaded markII B for a IV

I have the chance to trade my IIB combo plus $100 for a Mark IV rackmount (I have a spare headshell). What do you think? I have a love hate with the II, really like my III, but remember selling a IV I had a few years ago pretty quick. I think I understand how to set the EQ on Marks better now...

Mark II and III players, a footswitch question, please...

the LED will always be powered on in the rythym mode on the mark series due to the voltage that drives the led is removed from the switch when switched to lead mode. The resistor in the switch is there to limit the current going to the led so it doesn't burn out from too much current.

Help with Settings for Mk II

I cannot argue with your logic as it sounds like the right thing for you to do. Spending 31 years with anyone or anything is commendable and the money is not the object. With the recap and the mod maybe you will be happier with it for the next 31 years or more. When you have it back, I would...

Help with Settings for Mk II

With the FX loop mod and a recap/general cleaning you are probably looking at around $450. I passed on getting the loop mod on mine due to the fact that it is $300 and I spent $350 on a recap, cleaning and having all of the tubes and power tube sockets replaced because one of the sockets was...

Selling my markiii whats a fair price?

It is clean. Mark III's sell from $700 to $1000 on ebay. The intitials are MB for Mike Benadelli. His initials are on all of them that I have seen. I think the R next to that signifies that it has has the reverb mod done to it. I don't recall ever seeing one with the tube protector bar on...

New to me Mark ii B blowing fuses

Mike B found a Filter cap under the board touching and shorting the 220K resistor that feeds the EQ. I had him replace the Filter caps, do a general cleaning, replace the Power tube sockets as one was messed up, he found a few pots to "rebuild" whatever that means and he lubed the EQ sliders...

Hi chaps, new UK member here, MKIIB advice needed.

I think the loop mod addresses the Reverb disparity between channels as well. I like reverb on clean, but not on gain most of the time so the lower reverb mix on the gain channel should be fine for me.

Hi chaps, new UK member here, MKIIB advice needed.

We discussed the loop mod. Here is what I gathered in talking to Mike about the Loop mod. The bottom line on the mod is that it changes the tone and feel of the amp as well as making the effects loop usable if you switch channels. The loop is fine if you set up your effects levels for one...

Your Opinion- Mark V over other Marks

I'm just curious more than anything. I don't gig right now and may never gig again. I have several amps and thought that if I could be happy with just a Mark V and my 1965 Vibrolux Reverb, I could clear some clutter. I just need to spend a good afternoon playing with a V and form my own...
