Getting my Rectoverb to sound "Fendery"

Thanks for the input. I'll mess around some more, but I just may be going back to Fender.

Getting my Rectoverb to sound "Fendery"

I am really craving the Fender clean tone and am currently not able to dial it in with my Rectoverb. I'm talking about the blackface - Twin or Super Reverb clean tone. Lots of sparkle and twang. I'm not feeling it with the Rectoverb. Any suggestions? Do I need a new amp?

    switchable wah volume

It's supposed to be a simple thing, however, I think the difficulty is the sweep range that is ideal for a wah is not ideal for volume swells for a volume pedal. The dunlop Mr. Crybaby is a classic example. The wah is just okay and the volume is even less useful. For a Tremonti wah, it's not...

A little help deciding a wah pedal

I just bought a 70s Thomas Organ wah for about the price of a new Dunlop original crybaby. Best kept secret out there! I did 3 simple mods to it - the vocal, volume increase, and true bypass. It was already great as is and this puts it way over the top!

    My Recto-Verbs reverb sucks!

What kind of reverb are you after? If you want a complex "hall" type reverb I suggest you just get a rack processor instead of using an amp (or any amp) for that. I barely have the reverb on - just so it's past that "dry" tone - and have no problem with getting a lower setting.

    Boutique vs. Boss

For me it's boutique for overdrive and distortion. Boss for filters, modulation, and delay.

    Tremoverb FX Loop Help

It depends, try both and see what you like. Eddie Van Halen put his in front of the amp.

    Rect-0-Verb and Effects????

Did you mod yourself? I have a Rectoverb that I would love to convert to series (so I could actually use it) if only someone would show me how. Is your Rocktron setup to handle "line level?" Line level is a lot hotter than instrument level effects (Boss, etc). My line 6 delay does weird...

    Boss DD-20 Fx Help

I think I know what it is and I have the same problem with my Line 6 DL4. The parallel loop is "Line Level" +10db. It is a hotter signal than "instrument level" effects (-4db) such as the Boss DD-20 and the Line 6 DL4. Line level is what is used for more of the rack effect processors that you...

    Parallel Effects Loop bothering me...

The issue with the setting the mix all the way, is that the max setting on the Recto is 90% parallel. In the manual it lists 100% and I really wish it were this.

    Parallel Effects Loop bothering me...

I have two line6 stomp modelers that I initially tried through the parallel effects look in my Rectoverb. I finally started to understand the logic behind the parallel vs. series effects loop after sitting down and reading the manual. So for my modulation effects (line6 mm4), I dial the mix in...

    Line 6 DL4

I have the DL4 and I think it sounds absolutely incredible through the effects loop, so-so through the input. If you only use delay for 1 setting, it's not worth having it. I myself, use all the presets and actually which I could save more. It's a powerful tool to use. I currently use it for...

    OD pedal usage?

I'm trying to figure this one out myself since I just got my rectoverb last week. I currently have a TS-type overdrive (Toadworks DR III) and a BYOC Tribooster (buildyourownclone.com) and a TS808. My options is to either setup channel 2 heavy or slightly dirty. If I set it up heavy, then I'll...

Soon to be: New Rectoverb Owner... Question about setup.

Thanks for all the input guys... Micah - Looks like I'll have a great head start. I'm playing a strat with a humbucker in the bridge. I've been going to guitar center for about 2 months trying out all their amps and the rectoverb was just magic to me. Everything I wanted in an amp - I was...

Soon to be: New Rectoverb Owner... Question about setup.

Is there a way to setup the amp where you can switch the clean/pushed toggles (Ch1) and the vintage/raw/modern toggles (Ch2) on the amp using a footswitch? I know the standard one comes with a channel switcher, but if I could I'd like for the Recto to replace my distortion pedals. Also, can...
