so you went out and basically bought an all-tube multi-amp ??!!? :lol: i am unable to stop tweaking the MKV, regardless of being happy with the tones! i think thats why i bought it.. because instead of just buying a new amp, i can tweak it more!

i personally don't like the idea of making drastic changes in tone at a show.. the listeners ears get used to a specific group of freq's, and when you switch to anything else, the characteristics of the new tone are always exaggerated.. for me to switch from a smooth mark iv sound in one song...

are you doing this on the clean channel? is there an internal trim pot in the flanger? what other pedals are you running

i like the MKV clean better than my lonestar specials was.. never OWNED a LSClassic though!

low treble & mid settings will cut back the gain

the volume for ch2 depends on what mode / sound you're trying to achieve.. but channel 1 and 3 sound great with the master low.. 9-1:30

a boss ns2 is a good way to ruin your setup :? turn your masters down, especially on channel 3, and adjust your eq to compensate... EDIT: ok, i looked at your gain as well and lol'd.. i dont understand how someone can use that much distortion :lol: less is more if you are looking...

Orange 212 w/ v30's = huge, thick, dark Recto 212 w/ v30's = medium, scooped, bright Stiletto 212 w/ v30's = smaller sounding version of the orange Orange wins tonally, Stiletto wins for ease of lugging - tone ratio!
