Running two amps simultaniously -> Wich device needed?

I run two amps constantly. A Rivera Venus 6, and a LSS. I like grit and clean at the same time. I run FX in the Rivera. I just use a Rapco A/B box. Maybe $100 now. I've had it for 15 yrs, probably $50 then. It works well for me...

    A terrible trade? LS10/50/100 5:50

I'd keep the LSC. In the future I think it will be the modern "Twin". It will allways be a workhorse. I'm sure the 5:50 is a good amp, I played a 5:25, and ended up w/a LSS. I wouldn't trade. If you don't owe $ on it, it's not eating anything..

    LSS & line out

We're not really that loud. No one has ever asked us to turn down. We have done a lot of outdoor venues ( bike rallys ), so we actually had no problem w/ volume. It all started with trying to get the drummer to lighten up a little. He has a hard time with a light touch. The indoor place...

    LSS & line out

I think the the problem is the bass is bouncing off the glass window behind us, and into the back of my amp, and straight into the 57 mic in my LSS. A shield might work. I teach at a music store and another teacher said I could put the mic in the back of the amp, positioned at the speaker, away...

    LSS & line out

Does anyone know if you can run out of an LSS and straight into a board? I'm thinking not. I need to do this to control the stage volume. The mic's are feeding back in small clubs, I can use the clubster ( it has a line out ) along w/ the V 6 but I like the mix of the LSS w/the V 6. I've got my...

Tone or skill ? What should come first ?

Tone is King. Period. Ask Miles. You don't need songs. Ask Bach. Floyd is great, with or without songs. It's the tone, instrument or voice. The average listner doesn't have good taste. I use to have a guitar teacher that made me practice in a dark room with a solidbody without an amp. He said if...

Tone or skill ? What should come first ?

Tone is King.....it comes through your fingers , but it starts with the way you put your feet on the floor. Everything else is secondary.

    So my DR can't swim...

My guess is she was attracted to you in the first place partially because you were a musician. I actually shot a guitar once because of a girlfriend, I still have the guitar. They just won't understand...we can't give this up........How bout unloading the whole storie. Stuff like this resolves...

    Lonestar made from crappy parts?

+1 on all the above. although I did get a backup for my LSS because of all the horror stories, my LSS has yet to break down. It still has great tone, it still is on every stage I play. I'm proud of it . I love it. What else is out there that does this?.....( however ...I do reserve the right to...

    LONESTAR DIED onstage

Well ...the same thought came to me after reading all those horror stories. I ended up ( thru good luck ) buying a Rivera Venus 6. It has now turned into my # 1. In every way. I still have the LSS and still use it on stage, at the same time! Yep...both amps at once , it seems to be a nice...

    5Y3 MOD-IS THIS IT?

Can someone tell me where the serial # is located ? I bought my LSS in Feb 08. I found a SKU # that started above 488? , but there's 8 or so #'s in it. Is that the same # as the serial #?.....CGM

    mesa and me?

I have an LSS and a Rivera Venus 6. I play them both at the same time. The cleans on the Rivera are closer to a Twin. I'm an old twin guy myself. Give Rivera a listen.....

Rivera venus wins over the Lonestar special

Woody....They did have $2499 0n it, but I got a very good deal. I traded a Godin Grand Concert classical , and an AER acoustic amp, plus a little pocket change. I mean very little. And man , that Venus 6 is one cool amp. It matches well w/ the LSS. Played together they put out a big tone. I...

Rivera venus wins over the Lonestar special

Wilerty..man, they have a clubster at the store I teach at. I was secretly thinking about trading a Fender on it. It's big ( the Fender), heavy, and I'm tired of lugging it around. I could probably get a pretty good trade. Plus I get 10% off. I'm feeling the pull. It would be a good light amp to...

    LSS discontinued?

You know,...all of these positive affirmations are great to hear. It would be great to have a thread of these to read through occaisionally. I'm going out this weekend on a two nighter at a bike rally. I was thinking of taking only the Rivera V-6, and not the LSS. I ussually play through the...

Rivera venus wins over the Lonestar special

Woody...I've got the combo, I'm a combo man from way back. It's already way loud enough. We mike everything out door anyway. It's more than loud enough at rehearsals. The boost jump seems loud when your playing by yourself but not when playing w/a band. It's brighter than the LSS but very...
