    LSC 2x12 - Original MC90's or Vintage 30's?

Thanks for the tips Gary. I have an Egnater TM212 cab with Elite 80s in it. It sounds VERY different than the LS 2x12 cab. Even with the half open back option. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try different alternatives and combinations... -D

    LSC 2x12 - Original MC90's or Vintage 30's?

I have a pair of MC90 Black Shadow and a pair of Vintage 30's. Which do you guys prefer in an LSC 2x12? How about 1 of each?

Ever seen a black shorthead LSC for sale?

I once heard the lack of air space inside the cab was causing over-heating issues.

Let's see your "Pig rig" pics (Lonestars)

Hey Gary, yeah, you might want to ask around a bit more on that one. I'm afraid I don't know the answer. I've been playing around with stereo setups for a while know, but it has been exclusively using 2 guitar amps. I haven't tried using the slave out yet. Cheers, Danny

Let's see your "Pig rig" pics (Lonestars)

Hey Gary... You need 2 amps to do the stereo delay thing. One output of the stereo delay goes to one amp, the other output goes to the second amp. The spacing of the 2 amps is key, so experiment with different spacings depending on the room or stage. Having 2 amps can cause phasing issues...

    Weird Lonestar

Yeah, I was watching that auction too. I was surprised at how much it sold for. In a few years, if Mesa jumps into the reissue band-wagon like everyone else, they'll make a killing.

Really cool setup there. The two cabs go together quite well. I always say, black and white go well together.

The Electra Dyne having better cleans than the Lonestar?

Well, I have to opt out of the "not-so-into-superhigh-gain folks" club. I do like high-gain a lot. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate the finer qualities of a great clean sounding amp. Obvious, I own a Lonestar. But... I share my time playing punk as much as bluegrass! ;) -D

The Electra Dyne having better cleans than the Lonestar?

So, I just heard someone say the new Electra Dyne has better cleans than the Lonestar. Here's the thread: http://www.rig-talk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=47371&p=549101#p549101 I know it's a matter of opinion, so I will just have to try one out.

Wow! Your smaller pedalboard to the left looks a lot like mine! I'll be posting some pics soon! You'll see what I mean. I even have 2 hardwires in the exact same location! A reverb and a delay though.

    Quilted Maple to the EXTREME...WOW!

Looks like a bowling ball. Sorry, that's the first impression I got! Hehe.

    Electra Dyne on eBay

I don't know. Seems like the guy might simply pick and choose what he sells. He has enough feedback from people that have bought gear from him. But, take this with a grain of salt. Don't blame me if you get scammed!

The Eggie-Recto! What do you guys think of this...?

Hhmmmm... I see a Mesa switch off to the top-right...

The Eggie-Recto! What do you guys think of this...?

Man, that's a cool rig! So your Tiny Recto is now an Eggie Recto!! Hahaha! Do you guys know that Recto is the Spanish word for "colon"??? Heh heh Anyway, I like your Moog setup there. Pretty amazing. Is that a custom rack for them?

    Lonestar head vs combo ?

    :) Not all do...

    Lonestar head vs combo ?

Oh, one more thing... Keep in mind that most combos hum a little bit more than their head counterparts. That because of the magnetic (power) field presented between the speakers and tubes. This is overly simplified. But, all it means is... Your tubes are very close to the speakers. This...

    Lonestar head vs combo ?

I prefer the sound of the LS with an open back cab. At least at lower volumes. Therefore I prefer the LS cab instead of the Recto cab.

    what about Fulltone OCD?

I have an OCD that I play through my Lonestars Channel 1. I also works really well to give channel 2 more grit. djw is right, it does make the amp sound like a totally different amp. For me, that a good thing... 2 amps in one! Plus, my LSC is Reeder Modded, so Channel 2 is much better. But...
