We talked about this over in the Mark V section...
There is some dispute as to weather the Mark V will rest with all 4 feet on certain Mesa cabs. The reverb tank hangs down out of the bottom of the Mark V (I know, totally absurd for such a great manufacturer to do something so stupid) and...
Mark I is tricky because you have to throw what you know about dialing amps out the window.
I think the 4 most important things with Mark I are:
1. Bass almost off (or off completely).
2. Treble and Presence up (play with them back and forth till you find something that works).
3. Mark I...
I just tried completely new settings on all 3 channels and found 3 totally new sounds that I love!
I mean, I understand when these guys say that they like their simple amps but the seemingly endless versatility of the Mark V is just wonderful.
I went from Fat/Crunch/Mark IV to Fat/Mark I/Mark...
Been through CH1 and CH2 and both have great options but I cannot use either for this purpose. Both are totally spoken for.
I need CH2 to cover this middle ground (what it's supposed to do) and I'm not having much luck.
I need to know if I buy a Recto 2x12 Horizontal are all 4 feet going to touch and rest correctly???
Why would the Roadster 2x12 have a different handle than the Recto 2x12?
First off... what a beautiful job!!! Just amazing. You are an excellent craftsman.
My only fear would be such a commitment to a Peavey Vyper.
Now onto what everyone on the Boogie Board that hangs in the Mark V section is thinking... "you sold your Mark V for a Peavey Vyper and made it...
CH 3, Extreme mode, EQ on in classic "V" but with mid slider almost to half.
90 watt, Pentode, Bold.
Now, if you want a Recto sound... You need a Recto.
I have read the manual cover to cover a dozen times.
I was looking for some personal experiences on the best way to dial the amp in to sound like an original (I have never played an original IIC+).
