Come On Guys... I need a new CAB!!!

Do you guys think that Port City is better than my backup plan (Fryette Deliverance 2x12)?

Come On Guys... I need a new CAB!!!

I can't seem to pick a cab. I need some help. I already have a 4x12 w/ Vintage 30's. I need something more portable. I dont like how short the Recto 2x12 is or I would get one. I would like something with some different speakers in it than my 4x12 so I can have some variety. I would even...

For Heavy stuff...Mark IV, or Mark V?

I love the V. I would recommend it.

Best Cab For Mark V... $ Is No Object!

So the Mills Acoustic is a better cab than the Mesa Recto 4x12?

When you grow up you will realize (probably the hard way) that things dont work that way.

    Single Rectifier vs Express 5:50

Oh, and the Express has better cleans.

    Single Rectifier vs Express 5:50

They are so different. The Single Recto takes over where the Express 5:50 leaves off. The Recto will go way deeper into high gain.

    Anyone use a VHT/Fryette Cab?

I am looking for a great 2x12. I am down to Mesa (probably a 3/4) or VHT/Fryette (probably the Deliverance). What should I do?

Best Cab For Mesa... $ Is No Object!

I'm assuming you guys are talking about the EV loaded Mills cabs???

Best Cab For Mark V... $ Is No Object!

I'm assuming its because this crowd loves the EV12's and they have a 4x12 that is EV12 loaded. Just a guess. This crowd does seem to love these Mills Acoustic!

Best Cab For Mesa... $ Is No Object!

I started this thread in the Mark V section, but I wanted to start one here too... OK, you can have any cab for FREE!!! 2 rules: 1. You can only have 1 2. It has to be a new production cab that you can currently buy -Brand/Model? -Speaker Choice (remember rule #2)? -Configuration (1x12...

    Mark IV Mode... No Balls?

I love the saturation of the Mark IV mode. But it doesn't seem to have any balls. The Extreme Mode is the other way around... huge, powerful low end with plenty of meat, but it doesn't have the great saturation of the Mark IV mode. When I turn up the bass pot, it gets flubby. When I use the...

New Mark V's vs. Older Mark V's: Why the Cage?

I think the bar was outdated. Made it too difficult to get to the power cord connection point, no tube changes without unscrewing something and not much protection from smaller stuff.

I cant get any VOLUME on CH1...

But then I dont get the tone I'm looking for out of CH2 and CH3.

I cant get any VOLUME on CH1...

Unless my master is up to 11:00 or so, I cant get enough volume out of CH1. I cant turn the channel volume up any more because it will start to break up in FAT. At this point, I'm hitting the SOLO when I use CH1. That is very inconvenient. What do you guys do?

    The TONE of TWEED POWER

I cannot hear much of a difference between Full Power and Tweed Power. If I want more controlable volume while still hitting the sweet spot of the amp, should I use Tweed or should I switch down to 45 watts?

Mark I mode for hard rock

Not sure why, but Mark I mode sounds best with the Mid OFF. To the OP, if you want more gain, turn up the gain. It sounds great without altering the tone up to about 2:00.

    Anyone Prefer the Single Recto?

Does anyone prefer the tone of the Single Recto over the other amps in the Recto family?
