    LSS 1 x 12 and 2 x 12

Are you sure? I thought the 1x12 was 8 ohms and the 2x12 was 4 ohms.

    LSC 1X12 1 year old!

Cool! I misunderstood and thought you replaced the Kinmans. OK, I'm going to think seriously about getting a set. Thanks.

    LSC 1X12 1 year old!

BikeDude, I've only had my LSC 1x12 for a month, so we're justy getting to know each other. Unfortunatley I won't gig with it for a while because our next several shows all have a backline provided. I can't wait to road test it! So far I've only used it at a studio for rehearsal. I'm curious...

    Lone Star Special specs

That's an idea. I haven't even gigged with mine yet, so I have to see how it goes. The LSC 1x12 is no heavier than the Fender Pro Reverb I was using, so it may be OK. But I'm not getting any younger and my back isn't as strong as it used to be.

...and 10lbs lighter tham the 1x12 LSC! If I could have afforded it, I would have gone for the head and cab. :-(

    Lone Star Special specs

Call Mesa they will tell you. I know the 1x12 LSC is 72 lbs., but the Special is probably a bit lighter.

    Tried a Hot Plate w/ LSC 1x12

Old-guy, Of course, I still need to try it "live", but it appears that I can get great tones at various volume levels. Attenuators are great for non-master volume amps, but I don't think I'll need it - and you're right, it would be great to save the $$$ Dennis

    Tried a Hot Plate w/ LSC 1x12

After having my LSC for 2 days, I don't see any apparent need for an attenuator.

    Got my LSC 1 x 12!!!

I got it in standard Blue. I'm using three very different guitars..Hamer Special FM w/ Classic 57's, Tom Anderson "Tele" w/ Joe Barden's and a G&L Legacy.

    Got my LSC 1 x 12!!!

Walked into my dealer today and there was a box at the door from MESA...hmm..asked about..."yep, it looks like yours". I wasn't expecting it until next week! It's home now and I've only been able to play it for a little while so far. So much to learn.....so many things to try.... Anyone want...

    Tried a Hot Plate w/ LSC 1x12

Old-Guy, I just found out that my LSC 1x12 is due in the store next week and I have been contemplating getting an attenuator. The only issue I have is that I also want to get a 1x12 ext cab for bigger gigs and I need one that has switchable impedance. I know one of them does, I just have to do...

    Lonestar Classic Compact

Thanks. That's what I needed to hear.

    Lonestar Classic Compact

I called also and got the same info. I had been mistakenly told that the regular 1x12 was 60 lbs. so I was not happy to find out it's really 71. But it looks like that is the way I'll go. I don't want to give up any low end. I will also think about getting a 1x12 cab later for biggger gigs.

    Lonestar Classic Compact

I hadn't even heard of this model. I'm considering an LSC 1x12 so this is interesting. If you call Mesa, they will give you the info. Please share it if you do.

Overdrive pedals and the Lone Star...

The Lonestars are different than most Mesas. They don't have the ultra high gain that you expect from most models. The LS has nice gain for a blues type sound but you may want to beef it up with a pedal. That's what I plan to do, once mine comes in. :-)

Anyone use LSC as a poweramp???

Strumminsix, This intrigues me. I am close to purchasing a POD XT Live and an LSC, although I hadn't intended to use them together. I'd like to discuss this with you further. Tell me about your band and the style of music you play. Thanks, Dennis

Could a Lonestar do it for me?

I guess I meant four accessible sounds at a time. It seems impracticle to me to switch between Tweed and Normal in a live situation.

Could a Lonestar do it for me?

My take is that the LS Special won't give you the clean headroom you want. The LS Classic has four sounds: 1. Very clean to the slightest crunch in Channel 1 2. #1 with a boost 3. Channel 2 with a good amount of crunch ,but not the high-gain you expect from meost Mesa's. 4. #3 with a boost...

    LSC Speakers

    Thanks for the info

    LSC Speakers

Not sure about the difference in speakers, but I'd be interested in the sounds you are dialing in. - What style of music? - What guitar(s)? - Any outboard effects? - What settings? Thanks, Dennis (patiently waiting for my 1x12 LSC to come in)
