What is your opinion of the roadking l

I've had my RK1 for a number of years now and been very happy. I've tweeked with it by changing the CH2 voicing (changed the .047 to a .022 cap) and raised the reverb levels on CH3 and 4. Over all it's been dependable. I loaded my amp with some RCA 7025's, NOS Phillips STR 6L6's and RCA...

    2x12 Battle..

I've been using a Genz Benz G-Flex with my RK for a number of years and its been great. The ported design sounds good and the top mounted handles make it easier to carry. You can load it into any trunk as its not as deep as the Recto cabs.

    Roadking 2 Tube Problem?

Because of the design, many of the tubes are shared between all four channels so only having one channel working doesn't make sense to me. I would have the amp looked at by a tech for warranty repair. It may have to do with the relay circuits that route the signal.

    roadster vs. egnater tourmaster 4100?

I played through one (combo) at GC the other day. The cleans suck AFAIC, though it does have decent gain tone. It wouldn't make me trade in my RK, thats for sure. Build quality doesn't look as good as Mesa's.

    Footswitch not working properly

After checking the cord, if it still does it you may need to check the solder connections on the pc board that the switched are attached to. Sometimes they get stressed and the solder cracks. This was a problem on my RK controller once.

    Getting rid on the sizzle?

I have a RK series 1 and need to know if any one here has figured out how to remove that anoying sizzle (distortion) you get when you back off the guitar volume on CH3 and CH4. CH1 and CH2 don't do it so I'm assuming it's somewhere in the common circuitry that the two channels share. Just...

    Mesa Road King vs. Roadster

I have a series 1 RK and I can dial nice Twin like cleans with my Les Paul. Not too sure if it's much different than the series 2.

    roadster + genz benz 2x12

Yes, that's the way I've been running as it's a parallel connection so if a speaker goes there's still a load. The 16 ohm mono is series.

    roadster + genz benz 2x12

I've been using my Road King with one for a number of years. It's been a great cab. Enjoy!.
