I love my Roadster... 4 GREAT amps in one box! I still love my dual Rec triple channel though as well... they are very different... but both are fantastic!

If it has no affect whatsoever on the sound/tone/feel/performance or stability of the amp then I dont see it as a big deal. Ive had amps that have done all kinds of crazy things over the years during powerup or shutdown. As long as it does what its supposed to do when its powered up and off...

My 3 channel Dual Rec is a monster with its overall volume as well. My Roadster sounds good and gets loud but the Dual Rec stomps its a$$ when it comes to overall loudness. And I have done all the tube swaps and that dont matter. Just the nature of the beast!

I think you have had it to long to bring something like that up. Just my opinion though

You can call Mesa and they will not blow you off... Thats the BIGGEST difference between Mesa and most of the others. They will talk to you and they are concerned with making you happy. My roadster popped alot more the first few weeks I had it... I do the power up dance on that and my Dual Rec...

Keep it on all diode and pull the rectifier tube that is in question... may be causing a direct short.

Did you replace the Rectifier tube as well?

I heard you heat it up... like with a blowdryer around the edges and gently push it from behind as the glue warms up and gets soft.

If you got 2 power tubes not firing up at all then I believe you need to take it to a tech. Sounds like something fried when you had it on without a load.

Its the same on the Dual Recs to... Ive never been a "pedal" guy but I think thats how I am going to go with my Dual Rec now. It dont seem to change much having the loop engaged but I havent found ANY effects that work well in the loop without robbing the tone.

If its a 4 ohm cab then just run it to one of the 4 ohm outputs on the amp and you are good to go.

I feel for you dude... I had someone reach in the back of my van one night while we were loading in and doing soundcheck and rip me off... **** I was and STILL am pissed about it... and I havent returned to that hole to play again either... I think your stuff will show up... you have to good...

I agree... moisture is tricky and can be hiding anywhere inside... If I were you I would put a fan on it for a day or so... that will help remove all the water.

Mine does it as well... I am pretty sure its a build up of static electricity and is quite common... While mine is in standby while warming up I just shuffle thru the channels a few times before I "bring on the noise" and It either dont do it at all or not near as bad.

I have had the same problem with my NEW Roadster as well... these new chinese preamp tubes they are putting in them just plain ole suck... Mine are dying slowly one at a time... I have always kinda liked Mesa tubes until now... these are causing me to question them on what they are selecting...

Replace your preamp tubes. At least the first 3 for now. V-1 thru V-3. thats your input and gain section and see how it does. Before you were saying your clean seemed under powered and now coupled with this problem leads me to believe your tubes are tired or you have a bad one. If you bought...
