Thursday, I came back into Tampa to play Crowbar for the Valentine's Day prom and we were scheduled to play on Saturday night. My Mesa Boogie tube amplifier, gig bag with pedals/mics/cables/etc, and one of my pedal boards were taken on Friday night from the Crowbar. Friday night there was an WMNF 88.5 show with Unkempt, Gargamel, Disembodiment, A Broken Machine, Regret & Forgive Again, and Annabelle Lee played... If anyone knows any of these bands please contact them to see if they had taken my equipment by mistake. This is being filed with the police & due to the amount of equipment stolen, this is grand theft. I really would like my equipment back and you can drop it off anonymously at WMNF 88.5, Crowbar, Legends Guitar, or New World Brewery. I have serial numbers for the head and the effects.

The Amplifier head is a rare early 2 channel black treadplate/chrome face Mesa Boogie 150 watt Triple Rectifier Solo Head with chrome face. Maybe try posting this on craigs list ads? Check there and pawn shops, the sooner the better.

If you had the S/N make sure you report it to the police, they are really good. I had equiptment stolen and soon as someone tries to pawn it the cops get notified.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but Gainesville?! Wow. I thought I was the only one, except I just graduated. Clutch71 (Dave) goes through there often. PM me if you'd like to chat.

Best of luck to you Grendel...I can only imagine how much that sucks. We'll keep an eye out.

Thank you.... I have the police report filed and they said that they will be notified once any item is brought for sale in a pawn shop, music store, e-bay, or Craigslist.

I have friends that are searching also.. it is miserable. I have never been this distraught about any thing.

Cool, but search Ebay and Craigslist yourself, neither site requires you to enter S/N's when selling items, so I would check yourself for awhile.

I'd be taken a break and checking out the other bands at other venues that were on the bill with you that night. After a month, if one of them took, it may have lulled them into a sense that they got away with it. If you see something have a buddy walk up and inspect it in case they recognize you. What are the odds that someone from the crowd would have had access/ability to walk out with it?

Good luck Grendel.

BTW: Be in Gainesville next week, all week, as a matter of fact. My travel lull is over and time to start moving around again.

bump.

Best of luck finding your stuff. Gear theft = NOT COOL.

I feel for you dude... I had someone reach in the back of my van one night while we were loading in and doing soundcheck and rip me off... **** I was and STILL am pissed about it... and I havent returned to that hole to play again either...

I think your stuff will show up... you have to good of records on it.

Bet of luck!

f###... that kind of story piss me off...

really hope you'll find your gear... i can't do anything here in EU except keeping an eye on ebay...

Still nothing to date.. .Ugh... I hate this.. using a Laney 100 Watt tube head to make up for it.. there is a serious difference in tone.

Oh man, That sucks. Couple of my buds have Laneys. If I had to play out and couldn't use my Triple, I'd cancel the gig before I borrowed one of those.

Depends on the Laney IMO. Some suck and some are amazing. I love the TT and VR heads

Well my buddies play the GH50 and GH100 heads. They tried like hell to get me to buy an Iommi instead of the Triple but that thing was equally crappy to my ears. Never heard one of the VR's in erson though.

Sorry if someone already suggested this ....I did not see......

Have you contacted Mesa? They may be willing to distribute the serial # to all their service stations. If someone tries to get repair work there, they will know and hold it 'til they notify you (hopefully). 8)
May be worth a try...best of luck! :)
