what is this crackling noise when I switch my roadster off standby? it goes away after like 15-20 seconds. maybe less

Probably just a slightly noisy preamp tube. Eventually that tube will get worse and oscillate, and you'll have to change it. To find the noisy one, get a known-good spare, and switch it with each tube, one at a time, starting with the one near the input jack and working your way down the line. Try the amp after each swap, eventually you'll find the noisy tube and it won't do it anymore.

I have had the same problem with my NEW Roadster as well... these new chinese preamp tubes they are putting in them just plain ole suck... Mine are dying slowly one at a time...

I have always kinda liked Mesa tubes until now... these are causing me to question them on what they are selecting to put in the amps.

the amp is only a week old

so the tube can go bad?

Tubes are warrantied for 6 months aren't they?
I swapped a bad tube under warranty from my dealer, you shouldn't have a problem getting that replaced.

i only get that if i have the reverb set to on and there is some signal still ringning otu when i go to standby
