So. I fixed my R2 mod, put everything back together, removed the tubes, and prepared to re-rack the Mk. III.
Mk. III re-racked! Power plugged in. Remade connections to loop, etc. I hear "Click. Rooooolllllllll. Thud. CRASH!!!!!!"
I broke my first tube. I almost caught it! It was like a movie in slo motion! BARELY rolled past my fingers! I JUST finished the amp and wanted to open it up and test it all out. Was all excited. Blam - out a tube!!! A good one, too! SED 6l6GC! Sigh.
