V30 or G12H30 in 1x12 with Rectoverb

I'm glad I subscribed to this thread

I plan on picking up a 2x12 w those WGS Reaper HP speakers upon my return home from germany (leaving for 2 weeks).

If you get a good sounding cab, the Reaper HP speakers tear. They're a different flavour than a v30 but they definitely can hold their salt when it comes to creating world class guitar tones!

should be. Ideally I'd prefer V30s but it's a 2x12 and the guy only wants 275 (I'll low ball him for like 250 or so) and it's got 2 of those reapers. not a bad deal

Are you SUURREE!!??? The Reaper HP speakers sound pretty rad. I think people don't give them so much attention because they are made by an upstart american guitar speaker company. If they were designed by Celestion, they'd be an instant classic.

OK - I think I did this right - here is a picture of my home built 1x12 cabinet

Ignore the dome midrange - it's non-functional - leftover from when I used this cabinet with my bass head.

I find the cabinet sounds better with the ports blocked off also.
