Used to also have a Mesa Triaxis + 50/50 plus two 2x12 Recto cabs. Loved the sound, hated the hassle of hooking it all up. :)

hows the overall sound on the dual cal.3? You know I dont see alot of the EL84 D.C's for sale. I heard a few DC-5's and 10's and thought they were a very nice, totally underated amp. I figured the#3 with 2 pair of 84's was a smoking tone machine..especially with graphic E.Q. Fill me in brudda.
Thanks,
~ John ~

Yeah, the DC-3's are becoming rare.

It's a very nice sounding amp, but I don't like the huge amount of mids and the lack of bass has. It could be the unbranded speaker it has, which looks cheaply made. Though I can get it to sound the way I want with the EQ. I'll have to hook it up to a different speaker to see what happens.

I just got it recently, so I haven't had much time to try different tubes and stuff.

This is probably my second favorite boogie. I have a mark IIB, a subway rocket, and the DC-3. I used to have a DC-5, but I traded it for the IIB.

Overall, I love how it sounds, but I always use the EQ for the lead channel.
