Is bothering me a little bit, 3+4 loud as hell, 1+2 just nowhere near the volume. Just wondering if this is normal, as even when i match the output levels off the masters by looking at my FX unit input (basically level them so a loud strike doesn't overload) it's still the case than 1+2 are much much quieter than 3+4

Is this normal, or might i have a bad tube than channels 1+2 share?

I tried switching the 12ax7 in v2 and v3, but no difference?

It's normal.

Channels 3 and 4 have more gain than channels 1 and 2.

Long story short, set your volumes by ear rather than reading the display on a multi-effect.

The modes are all different. A lot of them have decent volume variation even in the same channel; for example, Modern is louder than Vintage, Vintage is louder than Raw, Tweed and Brit are both louder than Clean and Fat, etc.. it's nothing you shouldn't be able to work around.
