Hopefully I will be pulling the trigger on a rect-o-verb as long as I get hired on to the LIRR. Now I plan on eventually adding an effects unit such as a g-major to the head but was wondering about everyones satisfaction on doing the series loop mod to the rect-o-verb. Does this mod give u a 100% series loop or is there still some bleed? Does the loop mod effect the tone of the head in any manor?

I really like the solo 50's but just wanna plan for the future so I can add effects without being disappointed in the sound and function of the head. I would get the roadster but its a bit much for me feature and price wise, just need a simple 2 channel head. Also, I'd do a search but since I am a new member I need to post at least 5 times before I am able to use the search function so, I apologize for that. Any help is much appreciated.

I'd be curious to know myself. I'm on the verge of trying the mod and possible adding a switch to change between series and parallel but like you I'd like to know how it will affect my amp's overall tone before I do it.

Feds...I did something that improved the sound of my Effects loop immensely. I switched to a Visual Sound product as the 1st part of the effects chain. Previously my old 80's Washburn chorus was 1st and didn't realize how luch tone I was losing until I tried the H2O pedal. This may not fix your problem but it certainly helped with mine.

I'm 99.99% sure that the g major is meant for a series loop......also from other research it seems that rack effects like the g major don't work too well in the rectifier's parallel loop

Thanks for this thread. I'm new to the forum and this was one of the main questions I had regarding my mesa. The mod looks very easy and hopefully will end the modulation feedback through my flanger and digital delay.
