Price check on a IIB combo

I have a buddy that has a Mark IIb combo GEQ,Reverb non Silmul. Amp is in very very good condition.
that is the street value on the thing. I might be able to trade to get it?? Can it do a petrucci type tone like the IIC+ ??

I have the same amp.....I wouldn't say it can do Petrucci, unless boosted. It can get heavy...listen to Brad Gillis using IIBs on Ozzys live album "Speak of the Devil"....great tones on that cd (IIB heads thru greenback cabs). When dialed in right, the IIb has great cleans and a nice rock rhythm, and also takes pedals well. For better tones, send it to Mike B for the FX loop mod....opens up the lead channel. FWIW, I payed $725 for mine.

I've seen them go between $1000-$1200. Very cool amps, maybe not into the Petrucci territory but close.
