Hi everyone.. this is my first thread.
I'm writing from Italy so, first of all, sorry for all the grammatical errors.
I've bought my markv head and a blackshark cab equipped with 2 celestion v30 speaker, i've to say that is an awesome stuff. After some jam, i've now understand how to totally use this beast.. but i've some questions for you guys.
I think that in ch3 mode, markIV-IIc+-extreme, i've no enough gain.. it's like a crunch for me.
btw i use it mostly for DT and metallica covers.. that's the the kind of sound i guess to let you know.
I'm not an expert with tube amps, this is my first after 12 years of playing.
So, it is normal? Do you use further distorion, overdrive on it? I may have some technical problems?

Thanks for all and greetings from Italy

What settings are you currently useing? (ie gain, eq slider position, etc) Also, what guitar and pickup type.

Classic v on the eq..
gain 9
master 3
presence 8
treble 9
mid 5
bass 3

Fender strato 50th anniversary american deluxe no customized so pickups are 3 single coil Fender Samarium Cobalt Noiseless, maybe the problem is there.?

Yep, single coils dont have quite enough meat in them to get the Metallica sound. I think seymore duncan makes a humbucker pickup that fits in the fender strats single coil slots. I've never heard these but they may be an alternative to buying another guitar. With hot humbuckers I would recommend keeping the gain below 75% to avoid oversaturation.

I was right check these out.

I have a Fender American Deluxe Tele with the noiseless pickups. I push in the switch on the volume knob which makes the two pickups run in series instead of parallel. It give me a slightly louder and much meatier humbucker-like sound.

Get a Les Paul and some WCR Godwood pickups. Then get a good overdrive and you are there. 8)

I have played my Friends Strat and sounded ok with my settings I suggest turn up the Master to 9 to 10 and back the gain to 7 and see

Go for it. i changed the bridge SMC for a hotrail humbucker in my american deluxe tele and it sounds fat and huge on my Mark V.
