My older brother (who happens to be a very good bass player) asked me to put together a backing track of Red Barchetta for him to practice over. I had a ton of fun playing this cover and thought I would share. Can I say that playing the bass track absolutely wore me out (I am definitely not a bass player). I left all of the mistakes in because I am too lazy to redo them. I learned the bass 5 minutes before I tried it. If I took the time to learn it I would have pulled off a better clip. The clip isn't note for note either. Oh well, I am a guitar player!
The intro guitar was recorded with Rhy 1 with some clean and reverb. The rest of the rhythm guitars including the outro was done with Rhy 2 (yes I typed Rhy 2). I thought that the channel came through really well. I didn't want the searing gain that the Lead channel has for the rhythms. I did, however, use the Lead channel for the solo with a touch of delay.
What do you guys think?
