I voted for you man. I wish I had a Mark III to test out side by side with my Mark IV. I'm always impressed with the tone of the III. Did you use the EMGs I see in your sig? If so, which one?

I also liked the 6505+, which was surprising to me. I used to have the 5150 combo. The Mark is light as a feather compared to that beast!

I liked yours best by far man, nice job. The 6505 wasn't too bad either. The Engl's and the other clips sounded just dreadful.

I don't run anything in front of the amp.
I like the sound of an amp without any effects on it, also a boost would be kind of pointless since my gain's not nearly dimed, was around 6 in this clip. I've got a US GE7 and while it's a good pedal, I also found it pretty noisy. The rane is a parametric eq, so your tonal options are a lot broader with it. You can surgically cut or boost whatever frequency you want.

Could you post the settings for the rane?
