Mark III Coliseum SN question

I have a 300 series Mark III (coliseum) head. However, serial number doesn't have a 'K' in front of it - it's 2503x. Amp has six power tubes, the model info is all blacked out but the 300 series on the back, and it is *loud*.

However, what's up with the serial #? Anyone have any idea? All the research I did online says I should have a 'K' in front of a much smaller SN, and that ain't the case.

As long as it has a K on the chassis code it's a coliseum. Another clue is that it has six power tubes, and is a coliseum amp go play!
