Is a Mark IIC+ and Mark III and FU-3 all worth $800?

Sounds like "Marketingspeak" for a Quad preamp.

What good would an FU-3 be with a Mark II or III?

Exactly what it is, saw this on ebay this morning.

In that case, it seems to be a fair price. One went for $860 a couple weeks ago, with the older FU-2 footswitch (big aircraft-carrier thing).

The FU-3 works, as he says, but it's not labelled correctly for the Quad. "Lead EQ" is actually Lead 2, "EQ" is EQ1, and "Loop" is EQ2.

Not only did I read the auction... I copy & pasted it from the auction.

Up for sale is a Mesa Boogie Quad preamp. This is hands down the best rack preamp EVER designed. It encompasses the historical Mesa sound but it is more than adequate for today's high energy music. The quad is basically two amps put together: the Mark IIC and the Mark III all in a 3 rack space with 4 channels and 2 graphic EQs.

Not 3 seperate pieces... just want to make sure you're clear on that. Seems like a good price for a quad w/ a power amp.

Doesn't include the power amp. And contrary to what he says in the auction, Mesa doesn't have the EQ slider knobs for these anymore.

They do have the current style as used on the Nomads and recent Mark IVs, and they'll fit the earlier stuff fine, but they're a different shape.

And they're not "less than a dollar each", they're $3 each plus shipping. So if you want your Quad to 'match', you're out $30 plus S&H for knobs.
