Hi all,

I took a decision today. I'm selling my rack! I have a 12u rack with a G-major, tuner, wireless, triaxis and 2:90 and its to big to keep hauling it around! I want smaller. better sound and easier. I find myself not doing anything to upgrade my sound and I'm not interested in my rack anymore. all I use is Chorus, Delay and 4 basic sounds. clean, crunch, 80s od, high gain.

I think im going for a Roadster or a roadking.

so I'm kinda saying farewell fo all you rackheads. I Have to go to the modern mesa amps section...

Oh no Nocki,

You don't need the tuner, cause the G-Major does that, and the wireless really isn't necessary, get a PL-Plus for power, and you would be down to a five space rack. That would be the same size or just a little bigger than a Roadster head.

I was in tone heaven last night with my rig, I am becoming more and more bonded to it.
- Mark IV cleans for that ultra clean sound.
- Mark I cleans for that buttery clean for solo work.
- Mark IIC+ lead channel for everything from Santana smooth, to Carlton precision, to Van Halen brown, to Lukather shred, all with the guitar volume and tone controls.
- Mark I lead for everything from Stones to SRV.

I just couldn't see myself without this rig. I also just can't get over how much improved my tone is with the hardwood cab and the Eminence tonkers. Like I said... I'm in tone heaven.

Don't do it man... you'll be sorry.

PC Biz,

I'm pretty sure the 2:90 doesn't support EL34's without some kind of modification and I really like the sound of the 6L6's so I've never felt the need to see if a mod was available.

The new 2:50 does have the bias select switch though.

Hi All, Thanks for your suggestions.

No.. Im positive this wont happen...

The Roadster wont be here until august.... Thats 4 months from now!!!! :)

The Triaxis is great but you def. need to put some serious time into tweeking and getting that golden tone. Once you get it, I doubt you will be unhappy!

it is really true I know some people that spends a lot of hours because they didn´t get a good sound and they finished selling it, also I know another crew that works a lot with theirs triaxis and at last they get theirs perfect sound.
Triaxis is a so hard preamp to dominate, you could spend 2 years and not find your sound but I´m sure that if you spend one more year you will sound lik angels.
Some people saids to me " hey man I sold my triaxis because I´m a musician and I don´t want to spend so many time programming it"
I think that a great musician has a great part of talent and another part of tech.
For example let me to quote Prince. Anybody knows that Prince sometimes check the P.A of his concerts himself????

Well.. its not that I cant dial in the sounds I like. Its just that I'mve become a slave to my rack. I used to be very proud of my rack and always invested money and time in it to get the best out of it. but nowadays I dont use it like that no more. I just use chorus and delay and 4 channels will be all I need. I really want a head wich will give me more room on stage ( 1 rack next to 2 2x12's is a bit much room)

Although i like it very much i'm quiting my rack.

everybody has his owns circunstances, I think that you measure them and decided the best way to continue your music. I only expect that your new amp will not be announced for sold on the next months, enjoy it ;)

I know. It will be July / August until it will arive. I will help myself with a Behringer V-amp pro in the mean time.

I'm selling the 2:90 and triaxis with the option for the buyer to trade their own head or combo for it so the price for them wouldnt be to high and I have a head for the time being.

I know I'm too late to save you but my bro just bought A triple, even though he had a Prophesy to drive a 2:100 (like I suggested) but I wasn't with him when he test played amps and he fell in lust with raw power. He's now taking back his triple rec. after playing through my modest setup of Prophesy into 395. The noise from heads (usually mono) cannot compare to the sonic clarity of tightly focused racks!! You'll learn this soon Grasshopper.
