How easy would it be to blow a speaker running my Solo 50 head into an Avatar 2x12 w/V30's?

Never really considered it as I've always had both 2x12's available....
More than the rating of 60 watts (per speaker) and you run the risk of damage, right?

How can I safely guesstimate the peak power of the amp???

I think i know what you are asking.

So i am going to guess that the peak power of your solo 50 is 50 watts.
I think that is the logical answer.

50 watts is actually the RMS power of the amp. Most 50 watt RMS amps can produce more than that when pushed into power amp clipping. Typically, a 50 watt amp can produce 100 watts peak (a surge in power). V30's handle 60 watts RMS each and about 120 peak. You're pretty safe running a 50 watt RMS amp into a 120 watt RMS enclosure.

Peace.
