In the mkIIc+ simulclass power section, does anyone know what the value of the inner 6L6 screen grid resistors are? They're black resistors with a white stripe, made by VARO I think, says mexico on them, and go between pins 3 and ground)

It's not in the Mesa schematics at all, I know it's there on the simulclass? I'm discovering all sorts of weird errors on there.

I know it's made by VARO. Can't read the value off the gut shots that I have

I'd appreciate some help please!

Cheers,

Jonny

Pin 3 is your plate, not the screen grid. Those components you describe are surge protection diodes, not resistors.

thanks stokes, it makes more sense now.

Are the diodes there so block any residuals coming back from the OT?

What are the specs/values of these diodes?

Cheers,

Jonny

Not sure of the specs of the Mesa diodes, but a 1N4007 can be used. They should be connected with the cathode on the plate and the anode connected to ground.

I really appreciate the help stokes, thanks!
