This new rectifier I have will do classic rock just fine...especially when rolling my guitar volume back some. The vintage settings on it are just awesome, no other word for it. I set the gain high and use my volume on the guitar to control the amount of gain on tap. Screaming hard rock or classic rock, it's all there. This is one serious bad ma' fuc*a. Like I said before I traded a Soldano for it, with absolutely no regrets.

Good stuff guys. Keep it comin'!

it does all styles of rock fine but im worried about the country side. you really need a clean channel with heaps of headroom to get the true country, fingerpickin sparkle sounds and the rectos dont do this. i cant vouch for the reborn rectifiers but i assume they are still lacking in this department. if you'll be playing country and classic rock there are definitely better amps for you than a rectifier

I don't know a lot about country. But, from what I understand a lot of country players like Dual/Triple Rectos for their Raw settings. Probably could "country" up the cleans with a good compressor.

Believe it or not I use my Dual Recto in a top 40 Country band. I prefer the thickness of the Boogie. I listen to all kinds of music. Prefer Rock but am having fun putting a little punch in Country. The Dual Rectifier is a very versatile head... you can dial it in to have great cleans and awesome distortions as well. Some folks say Boogies are cold sounding.. I just don't hear it.. Best **** amp Ive ever owned. :!:

I do use my ROV to do mostly hard rock metal but it does everything else.

I can easily get clean with lots of headroom on the rhythm channel. I've goofed on some surf riffs and it does those as well as any Fender amp I've played. The fact that you can control the gain and master means you can make it as clean or pushed as you want.

It is that versatile. But if you don't need/want that versatility you may find a lower cost alternative in the Boogie lineup that works just as well for what you want.

I like the Monster truck reference, but you don't need a Hummer to go back and forth to church on Sunday if you get my drift.
