Blue Angel rectifier question?

I've had a Blue Angel 112 combo for quite awhile now and I still love it, but one thing I never understood is the rectifier arrangement. Its got dual recs. SS & tube but no appearant switching mechanisim! How does it decide which to use? Is it just a demand issue or what? Is there a way to make it selectable? Any help would be appreciated. tt

Blue Angel has a GZ34 and a diode rectifier. The diode rectifier supplies high voltage to the preamp tubes. The tube rectifier supplies high voltage to the poweramp tubes.
