It funny isn't it, I love the good old days and some of the recordings that I love most (Peter Green in John Mayall's blues breakers and Led zep) have guitar tone so bright it would rattle your teeth. I don't think I would be able to stand in a room with that going on, but the recordings sound awsome.

The early Marshalls (JTM45) seem to have a rep for being warm, but could definately be crazy bright. The ED is just a little polite in the upper mids to get those tones, but the RA isn't :lol:

I don't know if I can stand an RA, so I'm in the process of building a JTM45 to find out at much lower cost.
