what settings do you use on your tubescreamer (mine is a maxon OD-9)
when used in front of your dual rectifier?

i also happen to have a lot of feedback when using my gibson SG reissue '61
i'm replacing the pick-up hoping this will solve the problem.

I use a maxon od808 with gain on zero, balance/volume on full and treble on 12 o clock

I use an mxr zakk wylde od in front with the gain at 0 volume at 50 % and tone at 50 %

i'm getting a ZW OD pedal today or tomorrow! I'm hoping I can either use it as a boost or as straight up OD...

When required I use a Ibanez TS9, gain at about 9 o'clock, volume at 1 and tone at 12. I use it to get a slight push on channel 1 and as a solo on channel 2 as I run that channel on vintage with gain at 11. I only use channel 3 when I get together with the boys and hit out some hard metal, gain is on 10 (i use KT77's, they can take the extra gain and still stay tight and punchy).

I had a Single rec Solo 50 head for a couple of years and I used my Maxon OD-9 with it frequently. Love the OD-9, it's my favorite solo OD, and I still use it with several amps.

With the Solo 50:
Gain: 0
Vol: 10
Tone: 0

I've been using a RAT w/ Keeley 3 way mod and a TS9 with Keeley mod plus mostly through the clean channel of my Rectoverb. They sound good seperatly or stacked and the TS9 used in conjunction with the high gain channel for solos is just sic.

thanks for all your help,
gonna try!

any suggestions in settings for playing metal?(both amp as pedal)

i have tried a lot of things, but never found the right sound..
although i feel that my boogie is so capable.
i sometimes feel that the other guitar player cuts more through, he plays an ENGL blackmore amp, however my boogie is much more aggressive.

just put some 6l6's and i can feel it's power now!
