Best comparison I have seen done. VERY VERY nice work on this. It totally does what it was intended to do which is give a controlled example to players like us so we can BUY THE NEW AMP! lol

I have been going back and forth about getting another TOV, but the LDR issues really make it tough to knuckle down and buy one. I wanted to go to a new 2010 Rec after using one live just for the reliability sake of not touring with a 14 year old amp. Totally want to try a 2010 Rec now after this seeing as how FINALLY the Raw mode seems to be what I wanted it to be. It's really close to the Brit mode on the Roadsters from what I heard. Very cool!

I have to agree about the RAW modes on the new model. They are actually usable this time around, and when compared to the BRIT mode on the roadster, for me anyway, RAW is the winner. The RAW mode has way more bottom end girth and thump to it, while still remaining remarkably clear. If I had a Dual Rec at home, I'd probably spend most of my time in RAW land.

I think the new one sounds rather thin on modern. I think I still would rather have my old 2008.....reguardless of the fact I never play it anymore.
