hi all,
I'm running a hughes and kettner tubeman into a mesa 20/20 poweramp.
the tubeman is only a mono output and the mesa has stereo inputs
and I want to run the poweramp stereo into my cab so I am using
both sides of the poweramp for maximum volume.
what is the easiest way to do this?
I had two thoughts so far :
1: a "Y" cable running out of my tubeman to plug into both inputs
on the 20/20
or
2: run mono into left input of the poweramp and then loop out of the
slave out into the right input .

any tips or thoughts appreciated

wire your cab stereo? that's what I did. I wanted to use my mono earcandy 2X12 in small gigs with my carvin 50/50 watt power amp. it can't be run single channel the way mesa power amps can (at least not to my knowledge) so I had tim send me a new jack plate with a pair of mono inputs and 3rd that switches to mono.

you could try that and have each side of the amp go to it's own speaker.

my cab is already stereo.

if you read my post again, the problem is my preamp is only mono out
but to use the 20/20 in stereo I need to put something in both inputs.

Oh well that's easy. Just use this out of the H&K.

I have to use this with my MXR EQ with my rack setup as I use it for a clean boost for solos. I have to use it hooked into the output of the EQ so I can send the boosted signal to both channel's FX loop return inputs. Otherwise, only one of the speakers or cabs would get a volume boost.

But yeah I've got a mono and stereo splitter just like this and they both work great.

sweet, that looks like the ticket !

do you know if the make them the other way around ?
ie 1x female to 2x male plugs ?

I don't think planet waves does but hosa probably does. Guitar center has every adaptor known to man. If not, the guy from lavacables can make you anything you want probably of better quality than anything you can find from an online store like MF or the like.
