Issues with Triple Rec. + Rack setup

Hmm you also wanna make sure your amp is NOT being powered to your power conditioner (if you're using one). A live sound tech at one of my band's last gigs told me to keep my Roadster head on a separate power source to reduce hum & noise. Did that and it helped reduce noise quite a bit. Dunno...

    rackmount midi channel switcher

I just got a Ground Control Pro & GCX audio switcher for my Roadster Head & G-Major. Works fantastic and I throw a couple of pedals in the audio switcher too, change everything with ONE button. Love it, I hate tap-dancing on stage turning on/off multiple pedals

    recording guitar effects?

oh and I forgot to add that I usually try to go with processors as much as possible. I find most plugins aren't that great, unless you're using higher end programs & can afford them. I would try both and see what you like more; personally, I'm not a fan of software choruses but the reverbs &...

    recording guitar effects?

Generally I like to record all my guitars dry and add effects later. I usually setup processors on an aux and add effects. I find it's much easier to match effect settings that way and it's more flexible for tweaking purposes and future edits. Hope this helps!

    Attack on a Roadster

Thanks guys, I noticed quite a difference by boosting the mids! I'm currently using a DS-1 and it gives a bit more chunk for riffs; I shut it off for big chords to clean up the sound a bit. I hear the Maxon is awesome... wanna try one out eventually

    Attack on a Roadster

Thanks, I'll try them this weekend! If they dont provide ample attack, suggestions? I want to try to avoid running a distortion pedal thru the front...we'll see!

    Attack on a Roadster

Hey does anyone else have difficulty in getting attack out of Roadster's distortion channels? I use Ch 3 so far for my leads and Ch4 for my rhythm (both I use on Modern mode). I'm running an Ibanez RG320QS with DiMarzio D-Sonic and Air Norton pickups as well as a Epi Les Paul Std w/ PAF...

    Amp channel switching question

Hey guys, I just got a GCX Audio Switcher to switch channels on my Roadster head. My only question is, for relay switching, does it matter what type of cable is used? I know it's a 1/4" cable but does its quality matter? Can i get cheapo $2 cables just for switching and use the good quality...

    Roadster, Dual Rectifier or Rack???

Dude, a PRS?!?! All my ex g/f gave me was one of those d'addario pint glasses w/ 10 packs of strings... wonder why she's my ex?? >=) But yea, the Roadster is awesome... my only complaint is that it needs a distortion pedal in front to give it a bit more attack for solos & metal chugs, IMO

    rack cables

I got CoreX2 gold tipped ones, which are basically rip-offs from Planet Waves cable station (hey that's all that guitar center had!)... they sound great! I just got some cable station for a new rack I'm building :D

    Roadster, Dual Rectifier or Rack???

I was narrowed down to a Dual Rec & Roadster and the Roadster won for a few reasons: 1) the versatility 2) the cleans 3) the distortion has something a bit thicker than the Dual Rec to me & my ears. Get a Roadster, you won't regret it!

WANTED: DR settings for HARD ROCK!

TS-9 eh? I have a Boss DS-1 but haven't tried it through the Roadster yet. Anyone else try it? I've used it on Marshalls and it sounds great but I hear the TS-9 is better.

WANTED: DR settings for HARD ROCK!

Hmm I have a new Roadster head and get a pretty brutal heavy tone out of it on CH 4 modern. Here's what I put it at: Master: 10:00 Pres: 9:00 (gives a bit more chunk w/ lower presence IMO) Bass:11:30 Mid: 8:30-9:00 Treble: 1:00 Gain: 3:00 (anything higher is too noisy) Hope this helps!

    I Can't Understand ....

Hey guys, I'm a proud new Roadster head owner! I recently ordered a GCX audio switcher to control all the channels via midi (and run a couple of pedals through). I have one question though: I'm running a Behringer FCB1010 and a G-Major processor. The GCX manual says something about the...

    Roadster channel switching questions

Thanks man... yea the dual & triple recs "only" have 3 channels lol... but the roadster & RK have like 1023987023948 so switching is a bit more difficult. Yea I was thinking to buy the CFX4 and use the G-Major for turning the solo channel on/off like you mentioned. I usually use some sort of...
