Same Here!!!! Like, why is the top part of a quad a IIc? and not a +? And why is the bottom part, a black dot III? Why not a blue or green or red or even purple?

join the rest of us lol. I think the real tone of a IIc+ comes from the power section, not just the pre.

some what, yes. top section of quad is a mark IIc, and bottom is a Mark III(black dot?) I would get the mark IV though. Jmo. sounds fuller to me.

I have a Mark III green stripe long head. I love it to death! really agressive, and cutting. Metallica x2 :wink: I don't even use R2, unless I'm recording. I have the amp set up for a perfect clean, and lead.

Channel 1) clean channel with three modes of clean.(Mark III green, Mark IIB, and lone star) Channel 2) R2 channel with three modes of crunch.( Mark III, stilleto, and lone star) Channel 3) L1 channel with three modes of vintage lead.(Stilleto, Mark IV, and Mark IIc+) Channel 4) L2 channel...

What I mean I mean by harmonix switch, is that the mark IV has one and would be a great mod for the III. So this gain mod gives more gain to R2? How dose it help in getting hot rodded marshall heavy crunch?

please tell me more! I have never got the chance to ask Mike if they can install the Harmonix switch on my mark III. If I remember right. Their was a point in time when the red, blue and green stripe, were all being made side by side for at least a good 1/2 year. I have seen blue stipes in the...

Dose anyone know what V2 dose in my Mark III? I know V3 is lead, 4 is reverb, 5 is phase inverter, but I'm stuck on 2. I assume it is the r1/r2 valve? help please!
