Okay folks, I'm going to completely re-tube by LSC head. I plan on using Mesa tubes. Are there any tricks or advice b/4 I purchase said tubes? Do I need to make sure they are Chinese or Russian or does it make a difference?
Thanks,
Bill
I've got a lot of static on both channels so I guess I have a bad preamp tube. What is the easiest way to physically change out the tubes in a LSC head? Do I have to pull the whole chasis?
I pulled a couple of the power tubes and thought I'd be able to see well enough, but that's not the case...
Hey guys, this set up is in pristine condition, I've seen it and heard it. Very clean and looks great in the creme color. You won't be disappointed. Kerry's an honest guy, I've known him for 20 years.

The rectoverb is EXACTLY what you want. I just happen to be selling one too (wink wink, nudge nudge).
But seriously folks, you're comparing apples and oranges with these two amps so check 'em out for yourself.

Actually, they (GC in Atlanta) offered to give me $750 about 8 months ago when I was trading for a strat. I'll keep the amp b/4 I give it away. I'm not hurting for money or gear. I just thought I would give Boogie fans a chance first.
Still available. This amp is CLEAN w/new tubes! You guys know what a great amp it is.
Also, forgot to mention I would be interested in trading for a Maverick as well.

Unfortunately he wasn't offering to trade me. I just went to his house and checked out his collection....very cool. Kerry is very knowledgeable about Boogie amps. He sold me my first Mark III in 1989 and I played it for 12 years.
