    Mark IIC+ and T1M content...

You know the volume imbalance between the clean and lead channels on a Mark IIC+ because of the shared controls? I didn't want to mod the amp and have an irreversible change made that I might regret someday. I used an Ernie Ball volume pedal with a little wood block lodged in to only allow the...

    Diamond plate mark v?

I made one for my Mark IV a while back. Looked great. Not using it now, so if someone wants a Mark IV Diamond Plate front, let me know. It was molded around the Mark IV front plate so it has the dual lock on the back still. The screwed in logo holds the two pieces together.

Rewire Mesa Recto 2x12 from Mono to Stereo (I searched!)

+1 on clip the jumpers. I did it and used that 2x12 for a while with one of those Vox modeling stereo heads. It works.

What 2x12 extension cab do you guys use???

In the 80's I used vertical Mesa 2x12's with the cel/EV combo with my Mark III/IV. That was the greatest cab I ever owned. I bought a more recent Mesa vert 2x12 a couple years ago and was not pleased at all with the lack of bass. It did not work for me. I even put two EV reissues in there and it...

Recommend Me A Cab For My Mark V!

Get an old EVM -12L and put it in a Mesa widebody ported 1x12. I had two made at Mesa with Mesa branded EV's that I sent them from older combos. It has all the thump and projection you will ever need. Throw the second one on top and you have a killer looking rig that sounds incredible that can...

Doin' some sinnin' with Stereo Mark IIC+'s

Good eye! Yes, those are indeed your three IIC+'s. Still delivering inspirational tone for days. :D

Doin' some sinnin' with Stereo Mark IIC+'s

Nice!! I know, it's blasphemus. I had the delay off most of the time. The Hartman is getting some serious "Exit... Stage Left" visibility. Don't hate me Joey B.! I will post clips, because it is the best sound I've ever heard being generated through me and my gear.

Mesa not going to NAMM this year...

In addition to the record business, the internet killed product catalogs... the first sign, which bummed me out. If all the company is going to do at NAMM is demo their product and hand out product information, both can be handled on the internet efficiently and cheaply. Those of you that have...

    Mark V Combo Extention Cabs

Speak of the devil.... the new Widebody w/ EVM-12L (Mesa branded) came in the next day. Here is what the complete rig looks like now.

    Mark V Combo Extention Cabs

I can't say enough about the Thiele 1x12 with the EV. I also run a Mark V head through a widebody ported cab that I had Mesa install an older Mesa EV. I have another one on its way, they sound so good.

Mesa not going to NAMM this year...

The owner of a local guitar store told me... no joke. Personally, I am bummed. The Mesa booth is like home at NAMM for me. I always spend a lot of time there and a couple other close G.A.S enablers. I will still stand in the corner of that hall and have a moment by myself. :(

Mesa not going to NAMM this year...

Didn't know if anyone had heard. Bummer.

Mark IV Channel Switching w/o Foot switch

I just started doing this last week because I only switched between R1 and Lead anyway... I use the two button Mesa "Rev / EQ" footswitch from the III's, a stereo cable and a stereo Y cable adaptor. Run the footswitch to the Ext. switches on the back of the IV for R1 and Lead and change the dial...

    Vert 2x12 vs Old 2x12

Old 2x12: separated top/bottom, bottom is ported, speakers are front mounted. Can close the top open half of cab, but usually they are open. New 2x12: rear mounted speakers, one chamber, no ported bottom. Grab the older one... better cab in my opinion.

    ancient Boogie info...

So when you refer to it as a "pre-500" you don't even have to list a model... it is one of THE pre-500. nice!! Agreed... pics, stat!

endless droll for a cry for a MK II C+ reissue.

Randall Smith was overheard when asked about reissuing the IIC+, "I wish people would move on." +1000 for the James Hetfield Signature Mark IIC+ with Half-Back 4x12 EVM loaded cab!

    Mesa Vert 2x12 w/ EVM-12L's

I bought a couple IIC+ combo's recently that had the EV classic reissues and, after I mounted the chassis in head shells, the speakers were just sitting around. The vert 2x12 had zero bottom end when compared to my other thiels with EV's so I swapped them out today and, yep, it sounds like it...

How to remove speaker grille on 2x12 Horizontal Recto cab

It just hit me... I fit my hand and a hammer into the back plate hole and tapped it out from the inside... easy, peezy.

How to remove speaker grille on 2x12 Horizontal Recto cab

I'm trying to pry out the back panel of a vert 2x12 and would like to know what you mean by "brute force"... like what exactly did you do to get that thing off? I don't remember previous panels being this tough.
