    2:50 presence

    The same thing with my 2:50... In fact, all 2:50 power amps have this problem... nothing untill 3 o clock and then wuuush, so you must be really precise when dialing presence knobs

    Clean channel and lead channel really sound nice together. Add a little chorus and you have a wicked sound. 8)

    Buying a 7 String

    For best quality/price ratio go with the Carvin 747 or 727. Remarkable guitar, and is very comfortable to play. And you can make one exactley to your specifications!

    NEW EDDIE VAN HALEN guitar is here

    OMG haha Janez Bončina Benč, interesting you know that musician :wink: For me Eddie's best days ended when DLR left the band. I don't care about signature stuff personally. My former guitar JPM 90th sounded just as any other Ibanez RG series guitar and it was like three times more expencive...

    --->Converter-Question (MB 2:50)

    I use Quad preamp and ADA MP-1, but my goal is to get CAE 3+SE at some point. 2:fifty is a very good poweramp, it works well with any preamp except for the modelling stuff. :P Quad sounds great through it, instant oldschool metallica, Lukather or DT tones at your hand.

    --->Converter-Question (MB 2:50)

    Hello, I had the same issue as you, I bought my 2:fifty in San Francisco and brought it in Euope with me. I simply gave my mesa to a professional who re-winded the transformer in it for 230v current and I haven't had any problems with it ever since. You surely have some people in Poland who can...

    Carvin CT6 -vs- PRS Singlecut

    PRS guitars work great with boogie amps, due to mid-friendly pickups. They don't sound like Fenders and Gibsons as commonly advertised. They have unique singing-sustaining tone which you either like or not. From my point of view, I sold a Carvin 747 and Ibanez JPM90th in order to buy a PRS...

    WHY ???

    Why? Becouse MIDI option costs preety much, that's why there is no MIDI in many preamps.

    Mesa 50/50 Retube

    I'd definetely go with JJ tubes, best tubes in production today.

    Yep, another QUAD clip ;)

    I've dialed it in, and I get quite the same sound as in your clip. It remindes me of a Steve Lukather oldschool lead tone. Too bad I don't like rhythm 1 (clean) with this setting, so I'll have to use lead 2 for the lead sounds, since clean channel is very important to me... Darn, I need 2 quad...

    advice on Mesa Quad Preamp

    Hello, when I was buying Quad preamp, my goal was to get the sound of early Dream Theater records. With Quad you will definetely get those tones you are craving. About power amp, buy Mesa 50/50, 2:fifty (I have this and it works great together), or maybe even 2:90 or 3:95-it depends how much...

    New and with a question....

    Mark series amps work great with single coil pickups, great cleans, and have enough gain to cover hard rock / metal tunes.
