best boost for liquidy leads on my tremoverb

I've never used a compressor, but maybe I need to check into the Barber Tone Press. I only have enough room on my board for an overdrive or a comp... unless I get a bigger board.

best boost for liquidy leads on my tremoverb

I think I'm after a clean boost to just push the amp into saturation. My main crunch tone doesn't have a ton of gain. I want the lead tone to be an extension of that, not completely different, but with a ton of sustain and that liquidy smooth feel... if that part makes any sense.

best boost for liquidy leads on my tremoverb

What boost pedal will give my tele/t-verb rig that nice liquid forever sustain lead when I slam the front end and the amp is already nice and crunchy?

Pop Punk with a Dual Rectifier

I did for quite a while... Gibson LP into a Tremoverb. I found the cab made the biggest difference. I ran it into one of those old metal grill 2x12s with the EVM speakers... it was glorious! I used diodes and bold... keep the bass low, crank the mids up and keep the treble and presence up...

Anybody ever do the Tremoverb LDR reliability mods?

Can somebody describe what the LDR reliability mod is? I have an old Tremoverb and now I'm curious.

Is the clean channel on my Rect O Verb hopeless??? Help!!!

If you're coming from AC30s and Fender Deluxes, I hate to say it, but Mesa cleans will probably disapoint. I think the Rectoverb has the best clean of most any high gain head, but it still won't really compare to those other amps. Maybe something to push the front end just a little and make...

How do you get the back off of a Mesa Recto 2x12???

Holy crap... you're not kidding! I had to pry the edges up with a crowbar and it was still a struggle! One of the speakers was mounted very loosely and was moving around inside the cab. :?: Can you crank down the screws really tightly or do you need to leave them a little loose?

How do you get the back off of a Mesa Recto 2x12???

When I move it around I hear something rattling around inside. So, I want to take the back off and have a look around. I removed all of the screws... I removed the jack plate... but it just won't budge! I'm trying to pull up on the hole where the jack plate goes, but to no avail. Any hints here?

can a mesa half stack keep up with an 8x10 bass cab?

http://madisonamps.com/products2008/abraxassheet.htm Madison is a local Colorado company and they sponsor my band so we get stuff super cheap. I just read the specs and it's actually tube input, solid state output... I'm guessing just a couple preamp tubes or something. Anyway, I'm not...

clean boost for dual rectifier clean channel?

That's the general rule... however, depending on how much gain is coming from your amp, you may also get a volume boost with a gain pedal in front of the amp.

clean boost for dual rectifier clean channel?

You can, but it will just add more gain. Any gain pedals in front will give a gain boost... any gain pedal in the loop will give a volume bump (but you want a very clean boost... no overdrive/distortion/fuzz). If you want straight volume, you will need to use the loop.
