Boss DD-20 OK in T-Verb/DR parallel loop ?

I am about to buy a Boss DD-20 delay. Any DR or T-Verb owners use that pedal in the loop ? Does it work fine with no noise or other weird phase or timing issues due to the parallel loop ? I could NOT make my POD XT sound any good in the loop no matter what I tried. I decided to get a...

Pulled out two tubes, Tverb tremolo disappeared

You probably have a poorly seated or intermittent preamp tube and knocked it while pulling out the power tubes. I had a similar situation with V1 it would cut in and out at various times. A preamp tube swap fixed the issue.

    Tremoverb cleans?

I LOVE my T-Verb combo. I use it for everything from rockabilly (Brian Setzer) type stuff to Metallica and it does a great job at both. The cleans are great. Best amp purchase ever and I'll never sell it. Too bad its so DANG HEAVY !! It's a real pain to haul around but I love the leather and...

    TAD 6L6 for T-Verb ?

Also, how do you get the right rating (current/voltage) form the seller on the tubes for Boogie amps . I mean the Boogie amps have a fixed Bias so only tubes of a certain rating will work optimally in those amps. I don't know what to ask for when buying.

Built a 2 button footswitch for my Tremoverb...(pics)

I don't know if this was covered but if you want a LED indicator you can just wire up a 9V battery and the LEDs with resistor to DPDT switch (or 3PDT) so that when the switch is on the LED is on and vice versa. That's what I did with the one I made. You can wire up a led for each footswitch...

    TAD 6L6 for T-Verb ?

I notice a lot of people use SED Winged C's for their DR but I have read many good things about the TAD 6L6's, especially in Fender amps. Anybody try these in their Mesa's ? How do they compare ?

Have T-Verb parallel FX loops changed over the years ?

I know that early T-Verbs had a serial loop and then changed to parallel. My amp is a very early one but the loop is parallel. Anyone know if Mesa changed it / tweaked it over the life of the T-Verb ? I am not 100% satisfied with the way it works and was wondering if there are mods I can do...

    Tremoverb vs. DC-10

+1 on the T-Verb. Got an early leather clad combo and LOVE IT except for the frekin' weight. Dang that sucker is a back breaker. I was thinking doing the head shell thing and getting another cab too. Does Mesa sell just the head shells or are they aftermarket ? Anybody know how much ?

    Tung-Sol 12AX7's in a RK????

I had the same volume drop happen to me with my original mesa tubes in my T-Verb. Right in the middle of a jam. Started tapping on the tubes looking for microphonics but could not find any. Turned off the amp and pulled out power tubes and put them back in and had no change. Turned it off...

    Volume drops on Dual Rec, please help;

I had a similar if not exactly the same problem with my Tremoverb. It happened at a band practice. I checked all the tubes and they were all properly seated. I pulled out V1 and put it back in but then did not retry it until the next day when I got home. When I turned it on at home, all...

Head and Cab Vs. Combo Amps

Well, I have an early Tremoverb Combo (2X12) since new and if I had to do it again , I would buy a head and a cab simply for the weight issue. That frekin' thing is so heavy that it just about requires a 2 man lift unless you are the type that likes to punish yourself. Sometimes I just...

Hi , has anyone tried these two 6L6s in their DR ? What would you recommend ? What is the consensus these days ? Thanks

    Tremoverb Combo retube advice please

Hi I am gonna get some new tubes for my, All orginial since new , Tremoverb Combo. I play classic hard rock and blues with some VH and Metallica thrown in if the crowd requests it. Is the Tung-sol reissue the way to go for V1 ? What about the other pre-amp tubes ? Winged C for the 6L6's ...

Answer to Why Rectifier has different tone w/Loop On

mrdylan, you are not the only one having trouble with your XTL. I just can't get a good tone either with mine in the FX loop. I just want to use it for FX with the amp sims off but the tone is all squashed and middy. I tried playing with the different levels , pads etc but was not able to get...

Is there a list somewhere of upgrades/corrections available for the T-Verb ? I have one of the earlier ones and I have had it since new.

    TREMOVERB COMBO VS HEARTBREAKER COMBO

Are you using boogie tubes to get those great cleans out of the T-verb or something else ? JJ ? Tung-Sol ?

NEW! (to me anyway) Mesa Tremoverb (Blonde)

Well, for all the hype in the manual about the loop in the T-verb being "state of the art" I was not that impressed with it. I must reserve judgment however since I only tried it with my POD XT Live (as an effects only) processor and on another occasion , a Boss Chorus and Delay. The manual...

NEW! (to me anyway) Mesa Tremoverb (Blonde)

Wow ! nice one. I have the T-Verb combo with the tan grille and the leather cladding. Heavy SOB but the tones are super sweet. I bought it new when they just came out. Mine died on me last night (see other thread). I am interested in the tubes your are running. Does the Tung-Sol in V1...

My Tremoverb died last night (help diagnosing please)

Self-Biasing power tubes ? Cool. I thought they were fixed bias thereby requiring a careful selection of power tubes to match the fixed bias. So for my static and cutting out to low volume and then high volume problem, if its not the tubes, what else can it be ? I ruled out the speakers...
