So, what amps do you own?

Mesa Lonestar Classic Z Wreck Z Ghia Morgan AC20 Deluxe, Princeton Reverb (custom built), Tweed Blues Jr, Tweed Peavey Classic 30, Pignose, Lab Series L7 Flextone 3+, which is a great studio amp.

    Jeff Beck

I was fortunate to see him in concert several times. I think the best show I attended was in a small theater that seats approx 1800 about 15 years ago. He had a simple pedal array, just a couple of pedals-one being a wah. And I noticed something attached to the wah that kept catching my...

    New Classic owner

The old 50/100 classic is a great amp. I'm about 7 yrs into mine and it has never let me down.

Lonestar Classic clean tone at loud band volumes

Mine stays very clean and punches right thru the live mix. I use the clean channel for my Ric 12 string, with a Janglebox compressor, and it's magical. I've always kept mine set on 50 watts.

Looking for an LSC - opinions needed

I'm about 7 years into my LSC 2 x 12 combo and if I was doing it all over again I'd get a head/cab rig just to shave off the weight. The LSC is a great amp but as everyone knows it's a beast on wheels. But I love it! In addition to all the good stuff with 6 strings that amp produces the best...

Talk me down from the ledge! Z Wreck envy!

Am giving thought to selling my Lonestar rig and getting a Z Wreck. I'd keep the Mesa and get the Z but I don't have the physical space to store both rigs. Am I crazy to think such a thought?

What is the best amp you have ever heard or played?

I sat in with my old band a while back...the guitarist handed me his Eric Johnson Strat which was plugged into his Fuchs 50/100 ODS w 2 x 12 cab. I was amazed at both the Strat and the Fuchs. And I though my Lonestar short stack was killer! The Fuchs wins. Odd thing though...HE recently...

If the Lonestar didn't exist, what would you turn to?

    I go with a Dr Z...not sure which though...probably a 38

Lonestar Classic 212 - rumble noise when playing an E.

Sounds like a good excuse to tune in Eb and bump up to 14 ga strings! but seriously...might tighten up all the screws and bolts and see if that makes a difference... and to rule out the room try the amp in a different room.

    David GIlmour's Pedal rig

    Extension Cab or not?

Closed back ext cab for me. Sometimes I stack it, sometimes I split the cabs. It's a really nice sound when they're split wide. 2 x 12 Black Shadows in both.
