I'll try to post my settings later, don't remember where they're dialed currently.
Ironically, I find that my C+ with the 100 tranny sounds way more metal and 'Metallica-esque' than my 105 does. Just more food for thought :)
I own a C+ with a 100 and a C+ with a 105 and honestly in my opinion I would leave yours alone. There is a difference but it's ultimately not that drastic in my mind. I prefer them for different applications. If I were you I would seek out a DRG with a 105 to compare them if you can. I know all...
I've tried a bunch and settled on the SED =C= EL34s. You will lose a tad bit of low end as the previous poster stated but you can always fix that with the EQ. I think it adds a nicer crunch, especially to R2.
The speaker you have is a celestion C90. I think people are getting confused because Mesa used the black shadow name on the EV-12L as well.
That said, I would try a worn in EV12L with it. That speaker and any mark series amp will produce wonderful tone. I have never been a fan of the C90, in...

His Vox got mighty **** loud too.. pretty impressed with the quality of the tone on it.
I should have brought my Thiele for the C+ but my back was already pissed off at me for the combo :P
A friend of mine got a new Vox (surprisingly pretty good sounding) and he invited me over to jam a bit. He wanted to hear how the two sounded together. Things got loud from there. I've had the master up to 6 before but this was intense to say the least. Played my 339, a Tele and an SG w/ P90s...
Call Mesa for a quote, they raised the price recently.
As far as 'is it worth it?' That's quite subjective and they sound very different.
You should start by asking if you like your IIC as it is. What would you change? What are you expecting?
